The children’s suitcase
Many of the tips for packing a baby’s suitcase are also handy for packing a child’s case – it’s really just common sense. It’s vital to think about possible changes in temperature, so take warm clothes, even if the destination is somewhere hot, and plenty of changes of clothing.
If you’re going somewhere with a pool or the beach, remember to take water wings, hats and the right footwear.
Kids are very attached to certain toys or things that make them feel safe: toys, blankets, pillows etc, so it’s advisable to include them.
It’s also a good idea to include medication or remedies to prevent travel sickness – but always with medical approval. However, take care not to leave medicine exposed to the heat for too long, as this can cause it to deteriorate.
