First aid kit
If you’re travelling to a tropical country, it’s a good idea to find out about any vaccinations you may need, to stop your trip turning into a nightmare.
An emergency first aid kit should contain:
- Sterile gauze
- Tape
- Plasters
- Scissors
- Thermometer
- Cream for bites and stings
- High-protection sun cream (best to get it from a chemist)
- Sterile gauze compresses, bandages, cotton wool, tape and sticking plasters
- Thermometer, tweezers, scissors
- Pain killers, anti-diarrhoea pills
- Bandages for burns
- Saline solution
