Getting the kids interested
Plan the trip taking the kids’ ages into account, as well as the means of transport, accommodation and destination. If you allow your kids to take part in the planning, they’ll take to the whole idea even better.
Tell them about where they’re going; where they’ll be; distances to places of interest; what they can do; and if they’re old enough to use the Internet, let them use it to find information.
So really, trips with kids begin before the event - get the ball rolling a few weeks beforehand. Children will be interested in where they’re going and what they’ll be able to do there.
To make this part of the trip easier, as we’ve mentioned it’s a good idea to include children in the planning stage. We should show them maps of where they’ll be leaving from, where they’re off to, and answer any questions.
